Food is not your enemy.

Time is. (And ISIS, but that’s neither here nor there.)

But re: time. What if we said you could prep and cook a fantastic meal in 20 minutes? Every night?

That, my friends, is the promise of Blade & Skillet, a delectably simple yet hearty recipe site, available now.

Blade is a video-enhanced guide for everyday chefs.

And a beautiful one at that.

The meals are a snap: 4-5 steps, 20 minutes to prep and cook, and only requiring a pan, a knife and a couple of everyday ingredients.

Each recipe is accompanied by a three-minute how-to video and some of the best food photography you’ll ever see.

On the menu so far: a seared strip loin with caramelized onions and baby potatoes. Pesto prosciutto pizza. Lemon dill salmon steak.

A new recipe is uploaded every Tuesday, including a few appetizers and salads (the latest three are free: access to the others is $2 per month).

As for our gluten-free/paleo/vegan friends: “We don’t cater to any specific dietary plans,” explains founder Dorian Burns-Coyne. “There tend to be inconsistencies in those. But we use a refined ingredient list and encourage natural foods, so everything is fairly healthy.”

Tutorials and nutrition guides are in the works.

In the meantime: eat up.

It’ll be quick.
