Because it’s 11 in the a.m., we give you Lunch Pad, a roundup of new working-man-friendly eateries at which to feed your midday hankerings.

The Dudley Market
Hit this side-street cafe off of the Venice Boardwalk when you want a poached tuna sandwich and perfectly cooked fries with harissa and crème fraîche.

BierBeisl Imbiss
The sausages are definitely king at BierBeisl Imbiss, but don’t sleep on the poached salmon crudo or the schnitzel sando, served with sliced cucumbers and bibb lettuce.

Salads deliver the best energy to your body, but they can be boring. Sweetgreen chops and dices the freshest veggies and meats in ways that are always delicious and never boring. Try their new collab with wastED, which incorporates veggie parts — romaine hearts, broccoli leaves, carrot ribbons — that are typically thrown away.

Maple Block Meat Co.
Step hither
for the ultimate in all-American fusion: brisket prepared in Texan smokers with SoCal peach wood, all served on challah with a house BBQ sauce.

Belcampo
Their new outpost is serving crispy dark-meat chicken sandwiches and burgers of all shapes and sizes (like the pork and beef Carnivore) that are the perfect size for lunch. Egg-drop bone broth soup also a must.

Moruno
Moruno’s
window at the Farmer’s Market has a succulent kebab-like lamb skewer marinated in turmeric, courtesy of a Moorish-influenced recipe out of Andalusia and Barcelona.

Cousins Lobster
Buttery is the essence of a true lobster roll, and Cousins — a seasoned vet of the grub-trucking game — now serves one of LA’s best iterations out of their WeHo brick and mortar.

Major Dave’s Chicken
Hit Major Dave’s Chicken for a fried bird fix. They fry ‘em super crispy and not too breaded — ideal for a chicken sandwich, which comes dressed like a po’ boy.

Gusto
Got an important business meeting, the type that requires a little class and quiet? Gusto now serves lunch and those delicious pastas, delicate salads and mouthwatering meatballs (served as a sub) are sized right for lunch.
