Ever heard of the Family Fletcher?

Papa Herbie made his bones shaping longboards in San Clemente, and his sons Christian and Nathan pioneered aerial surfing in the early ’80s.

Rumor has it showrunner David Milch based his Yost family in John From Cincinatti on them.

Now SoCal watchmaker Nixon is commemorating them with their Peninsula South Collection, a set of six badass brass watches inspired by the Fletchers’ escapes to Baja.

If you fancy yourself active and stylish, these six watches — designed by Ornamental Conifer with agave blue crystal faces, brass cases and burnished leather straps — have your name on ‘em.

From the bold and chronograph-heavy stylings of the 51-30 (far left) to the more minimal, tonneau-cased Time Teller (far right) to the flagship, Swiss-engineered Patriot Leather (third from left), there’s something here to tickle every fancy.

And because no story about kickass surfers would be complete without a video to fill you in on the details, Nixon partnered with director Riley Blakeway of Monster Children for a short on Nathan and Herbie’s jaunts to Baja.

Take some time with it.
