Basketball is back, and it's the first big American sport that actually seems equipped to handle these Trying Times.
Ensconced in Disney World, the NBA has built a “bubble” to protect the remaining 22 teams that will vie for the title. After extensive testing and a few warm-up scrimmages, the season will officially re-tip-off tonight at 6:30 EDT, when the New Orleans Pelicans square off against the Utah Jazz, followed by a mega-showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.
But as the most exciting NBA season in recent memory reboots after a lengthy hiatus, it’s natural to have some questions, because (hopefully) you don’t have a sick, addled brain that’s thought of nothing else for the last four-and-a-half months. Luckily I do, and am here to help.
Over the last three weeks, we’ve looked at the biggest question facing each of the 22 teams in Orlando, and we think we’ve got some answers.
